Lawmakers want to make identity theft a felonyRocky Mountain News Mon, 13 Feb 2006 10:50 AM PST10:58 a.m. Colorado lawmakers have introduced a bill, seeking to make identity theft a crime. If passed, people convicted of using or possessing others' personal information for financial gain could face up to six years in prison.
